Once upon a time, in a land of cornfields and not much else, a girl grew tired of all the typical things she and her friends did for fun. I mean, really, diner runs and movie dates get old. So she tried something new. And then another thing. And another thing. And she keeps trying new things. And now, she’s sharing her take on those adventures.
Plot twist: I’m the girl. The dork in the picture there.
The Take on Adventure is an art blog created to provide feedback and reviews on the tutorials, “pins,” and articles that inspire and guide my work as I try out a variety of artistic, culinary, and lifestyle ideas. Each post gives commentary on a personal experience of mine–the good, the “ehhh”, and the full on Pinterest Fails– to allow you to take on your own projects with confidence (and succeed where I did not).
As a student artist about to begin my studies at Long Island University, I love exploring all forms of art. I’ve been pursuing ambitious creative projects since I was a little kid: constructing artistic gifts for craft fairs, completing commissioned works, and opening a personal Etsy shop. The interest exploded when I discovered Pinterest, which gave me and endless supply of inspiration. So instead of scrolling endlessly without ever doing anything, I’m here, taking on adventures and sharing the results with you.
